The Dance Works Summer Camps
Summer Camp 2013 Information:
- A non-refundable deposit of $75.00 per camp is due at the time of registration in order to secure your child's camp spot. The remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to the camp.
- Please download and read all Summer Camp Policies before registering for a summer camp.
- Placement in camps is NOT GUARANTEED until we receive your deposit.
- All Summer Camps are first come, first serve and will be closed to new enrollment once the camp has reached student capacity.
- A minimum of 8 students is required per camp. If the minimum is not met, the camp will be cancelled.
To Register for a Summer Camp:
Please visit our online registration page and fill out a registration form. We will confirm we received your registration via email - you can either mail a check to the studio for fees, or stop by and drop it off at the cafe. Business hours are Monday - Thursday 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. You must fill out one form for each child you are registering.
The registration deadline for ALL summer camps is one week previous to the start date of the camp. Please submit your registration form by then in order to secure your child's spot for a camp.
As soon as we receive your payment, your spot will be secure.

| C'EST LA VIE - Dancers in Paris Paris anyone? Poodles, parfaits and pirouettes are a must at this creative camp. Calling all dancers for something new and fabulous at The Dance Works. We've taken everything that is fun and French and put it in this dance camp. Campers will take daily dance classes in ballet, jazz or tap. We will learn a variation from the French Ballet, Les Sylphide as well as the complicated kicks and steps of the world famous Can-Can. Do not miss it! |

| Tiny Tutus This is a perfect first camp for your child! Tiny dancers will enjoy learning ballet fundamentals and terminology. We'll dance each day as our favorite fairy princess while enjoying story time about enchanting fairytale characters. Tiny Tutus Camp includes a photo keepsake that campers take home, full of memories to last a lifetime. This culminates with a magical performance for parents and friends. |

| Olivia The Pig Takes Ballet Olivia is a gorgeous little pig who likes to dress up, sing songs, dance, think, snooze and is even quite good at building sandcastles. At the end of the day, when she snuggles up in bed and her mother reads her a story (or three), Olivia feels very full of love. Dancers will enjoy reading stories, dancing, and making crafts. |

| Under The Sea Deep below the surface of the ocean live creatures that only a child's imagination can uncover! In this wet and wild dance camp, students will explore the briny deep and discover everything from squids to sea urchins and maybe even a few mermaids! Expect lots of songs, games, and active fun in this underwater inspired excursion! On the final day, campers will show off all their discoveries in a performance that would tickle a great white shark. |

| Fancy Nancy Ooh La La! Come join the fancy fun of the Fancy Nancy series by Jane O'Connor. Campers explore the fanciful nature of sharing, friendship, and fashion through imagination, movement, music and crafts. This creative drama camp is sure to appeal to the inner fashionista and inspire new parties, ensembles, and decor. For Nancy there is never such thing as too, too much. Who knows what elaborate story will be created using our fanciful imaginations! Grown-ups can find out when they attend the performance on the last day of camp. Au revoir! |

Let's Make a Video - Hip Hop Camp
This camp is for the dancer who wants to become more acquainted with what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite videos. Dancers will learn the various styles of hip hop as well as make their own dance video to take home.
Age Level and Other Requirements: Placement in this camp is for any dancer which wants to be a bit more 'edgy' in their dance! Each dancer will need to wear dance related attire and black converse style tennis shoes. Dancers should bring a healthy snack and water.

Broadway Bound!
The Dance Works invites boys and girls to enjoy all of the fun of the New York stage with this one-week camp. Dancing, singing, and acting are what it takes to become a Broadway bound performer and we have them all for you! Campers participate in daily musical theater classes and learn excerpts from several popular musicals. The final show will delight guests and we bet you'll call for an ENCORE!

Kick It Up - Drill Camp
This week is designed for dancers currently or aspiring to become members of their middle school and/or high school drill/dance teams. During this weeklong intensive, our curriculum will cover the fundamentals of techniques which meet the expectations of dance and drill programs in our area schools. Get a head start and combine this intensive with our drill prep class on our summer schedule.
Other Requirements: Each dancer will need to bring a lunch, healthy snack, and water.

Tendu' - Ballet Camp
Each day will include approximately 1.5 - 2 hours of intense dance instruction and 1/2 hour of specific education (ie. acting, watching a movie, story time, creative activities, specific choreography). The camps are geared toward the dancer who is interested in learning and improving upon ballet technique, terminology, and dance history. Finishing with a final day performance for family and friends.
Age Level and Requirements: Placement for these camps are more toward the level as opposed to age. We recommend the youngest age is 5 and the oldest is 8. Please ask the DW staff for level placement upon registration.
Other Requirements: Each dancer will need black leotard, pink ballet tights and ballet shoes, along with a healthy snack and water.
